Dear Friends,
As we continue our “40 Days to Save America” campaign to encourage people to pray, fast and repent from September 26 to November 5, Election Day, I want to encourage you today to turn your heart toward God’s Word. Scripture has always been a guiding light for individuals and nations alike. In a world filled with uncertainty, the Bible offers timeless wisdom, hope, and direction. Psalm 119:105 says,
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Before we dive into the full text of Psalm 119, I invite you to watch this powerful video reflection that beautifully captures the essence of this Psalm and its transformative power:
📺 Watch Psalm 119 Prayer: Your Word, A Lamp for My Path | Powerful Prayer to Transform Life and Our Nation
After the video, let us meditate on the importance of God's Word as the foundation for our lives, families, and nation. As believers, we are called to let Scripture illuminate the paths we walk—personally, spiritually, and as a nation. The Bible is not just an ancient text but the living Word of God, able to bring healing, wisdom, and strength.
Call to Return to God’s Word
Throughout history, nations that have turned to God's Word and sought His wisdom have experienced blessings and renewal. America’s founding was deeply rooted in Judeo-Christian values, and now more than ever, we must reclaim the powerful truth found in Scripture. As we continue to intercede for our nation during these 40 days, let us commit ourselves to returning to God's Word, allowing it to become the foundation upon which we build our lives, families, and communities.
Today, I invite you to:
Read the Word: Spend time today meditating on Psalm 119, a chapter that beautifully highlights the power and importance of God’s Word in our lives. This psalm serves as a timeless reminder of how Scripture lights our path and guides our steps in every situation.
Pray the Word: As you read, use Scripture to guide your prayers. For example, you can pray Psalm 119:33-34:
Teach me, Lord, the way of your decrees, that I may follow it to the end. Give me understanding, so that I may keep your law and obey it with all my heart.
Share the Word: Consider sharing a favorite verse from Psalm 119 with a friend, family member, or your church community. The Word of God is a powerful tool for encouragement, strength, and hope.

Psalm 119
Here is the full chapter of Psalm 119 (NIV), a heartfelt expression of love for God's Word:
א Aleph
1 Blessed are those whose ways are blameless,
who walk according to the law of the Lord.
2 Blessed are those who keep his statutes
and seek him with all their heart—
3 they do no wrong
but follow his ways.
4 You have laid down precepts
that are to be fully obeyed.
5 Oh, that my ways were steadfast
in obeying your decrees!
6 Then I would not be put to shame
when I consider all your commands.
7 I will praise you with an upright heart
as I learn your righteous laws.
8 I will obey your decrees;
do not utterly forsake me.
ב Beth
9 How can a young person stay on the path of purity?
By living according to your word.
10 I seek you with all my heart;
do not let me stray from your commands.
11 I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you.
12 Praise be to you, Lord;
teach me your decrees.
13 With my lips I recount
all the laws that come from your mouth.
14 I rejoice in following your statutes
as one rejoices in great riches.
15 I meditate on your precepts
and consider your ways.
16 I delight in your decrees;
I will not neglect your word.
ג Gimel
17 Be good to your servant while I live,
that I may obey your word.
18 Open my eyes that I may see
wonderful things in your law.
19 I am a stranger on earth;
do not hide your commands from me.
20 My soul is consumed with longing
for your laws at all times.
21 You rebuke the arrogant, who are accursed,
those who stray from your commands.
22 Remove from me their scorn and contempt,
for I keep your statutes.
23 Though rulers sit together and slander me,
your servant will meditate on your decrees.
24 Your statutes are my delight;
they are my counselors.

25 I am laid low in the dust;
preserve my life according to your word.
26 I gave an account of my ways and you answered me;
teach me your decrees.
27 Cause me to understand the way of your precepts,
that I may meditate on your wonderful deeds.
28 My soul is weary with sorrow;
strengthen me according to your word.
29 Keep me from deceitful ways;
be gracious to me and teach me your law.
30 I have chosen the way of faithfulness;
I have set my heart on your laws.
31 I hold fast to your statutes, Lord;
do not let me be put to shame.
32 I run in the path of your commands,
for you have broadened my understanding.
ה He
33 Teach me, Lord, the way of your decrees,
that I may follow it to the end.[b]
34 Give me understanding, so that I may keep your law
and obey it with all my heart.
35 Direct me in the path of your commands,
for there I find delight.
36 Turn my heart toward your statutes
and not toward selfish gain.
37 Turn my eyes away from worthless things;
preserve my life according to your word.[c]
38 Fulfill your promise to your servant,
so that you may be feared.
39 Take away the disgrace I dread,
for your laws are good.
40 How I long for your precepts!
In your righteousness preserve my life.
ו Waw
41 May your unfailing love come to me, Lord,
your salvation, according to your promise;
42 then I can answer anyone who taunts me,
for I trust in your word.
43 Never take your word of truth from my mouth,
for I have put my hope in your laws.
44 I will always obey your law,
for ever and ever.
45 I will walk about in freedom,
for I have sought out your precepts.
46 I will speak of your statutes before kings
and will not be put to shame,
47 for I delight in your commands
because I love them.
48 I reach out for your commands, which I love,
that I may meditate on your decrees.

49 Remember your word to your servant,
for you have given me hope.
50 My comfort in my suffering is this:
Your promise preserves my life.
51 The arrogant mock me unmercifully,
but I do not turn from your law.
52 I remember, Lord, your ancient laws,
and I find comfort in them.
53 Indignation grips me because of the wicked,
who have forsaken your law.
54 Your decrees are the theme of my song
wherever I lodge.
55 In the night, Lord, I remember your name,
that I may keep your law.
56 This has been my practice:
I obey your precepts.
ח Heth
57 You are my portion, Lord;
I have promised to obey your words.
58 I have sought your face with all my heart;
be gracious to me according to your promise.
59 I have considered my ways
and have turned my steps to your statutes.
60 I will hasten and not delay
to obey your commands.
61 Though the wicked bind me with ropes,
I will not forget your law.
62 At midnight I rise to give you thanks
for your righteous laws.
63 I am a friend to all who fear you,
to all who follow your precepts.
64 The earth is filled with your love, Lord;
teach me your decrees.

65 Do good to your servant
according to your word, Lord.
66 Teach me knowledge and good judgment,
for I trust your commands.
67 Before I was afflicted I went astray,
but now I obey your word.
68 You are good, and what you do is good;
teach me your decrees.
69 Though the arrogant have smeared me with lies,
I keep your precepts with all my heart.
70 Their hearts are callous and unfeeling,
but I delight in your law.
71 It was good for me to be afflicted
so that I might learn your decrees.
72 The law from your mouth is more precious to me
than thousands of pieces of silver and gold.
י Yodh
73 Your hands made me and formed me;
give me understanding to learn your commands.
74 May those who fear you rejoice when they see me,
for I have put my hope in your word.
75 I know, Lord, that your laws are righteous,
and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me.
76 May your unfailing love be my comfort,
according to your promise to your servant.
77 Let your compassion come to me that I may live,
for your law is my delight.
78 May the arrogant be put to shame for wronging me without cause;
but I will meditate on your precepts.
79 May those who fear you turn to me,
those who understand your statutes.
80 May I wholeheartedly follow your decrees,
that I may not be put to shame.

81 My soul faints with longing for your salvation,
but I have put my hope in your word.
82 My eyes fail, looking for your promise;
I say, “When will you comfort me?”
83 Though I am like a wineskin in the smoke,
I do not forget your decrees.
84 How long must your servant wait?
When will you punish my persecutors?
85 The arrogant dig pits to trap me,
contrary to your law.
86 All your commands are trustworthy;
help me, for I am being persecuted without cause.
87 They almost wiped me from the earth,
but I have not forsaken your precepts.
88 In your unfailing love preserve my life,
that I may obey the statutes of your mouth.

89 Your word, Lord, is eternal;
it stands firm in the heavens.
90 Your faithfulness continues through all generations;
you established the earth, and it endures.
91 Your laws endure to this day,
for all things serve you.
92 If your law had not been my delight,
I would have perished in my affliction.
93 I will never forget your precepts,
for by them you have preserved my life.
94 Save me, for I am yours;
I have sought out your precepts.
95 The wicked are waiting to destroy me,
but I will ponder your statutes.
96 To all perfection I see a limit,
but your commands are boundless.

for I meditate on your statutes.
100 I have more understanding than the elders,
for I obey your precepts.
101 I have kept my feet from every evil path
so that I might obey your word.
102 I have not departed from your laws,
for you yourself have taught me.
103 How sweet are your words to my taste,
sweeter than honey to my mouth!
104 I gain understanding from your precepts;
therefore I hate every wrong path.

that I will follow your righteous laws.
107 I have suffered much;
preserve my life, Lord, according to your word.
108 Accept, Lord, the willing praise of my mouth,
and teach me your laws.
109 Though I constantly take my life in my hands,
I will not forget your law.
110 The wicked have set a snare for me,
but I have not strayed from your precepts.
111 Your statutes are my heritage forever;
they are the joy of my heart.
112 My heart is set on keeping your decrees
to the very end.[d]

that I may keep the commands of my God!
116 Sustain me, my God, according to your promise, and I will live;
do not let my hopes be dashed.
117 Uphold me, and I will be delivered;
I will always have regard for your decrees.
118 You reject all who stray from your decrees,

I stand in awe of your laws.

looking for your righteous promise.
124 Deal with your servant according to your love
and teach me your decrees.
125 I am your servant; give me discernment
that I may understand your statutes.
126 It is time for you to act, Lord;
your law is being broken.
127 Because I love your commands
more than gold, more than pure gold,
128 and because I consider all your precepts right,
I hate every wrong path.

This Psalm reflects a heart yearning for God’s Word and His guidance, and as you read, may it inspire and guide you in your own walk of faith during these 40 days. Let it serve as a reminder that the Bible is not just an ancient text—it is the living Word of God that brings healing, wisdom, and strength to all who meditate on its teachings.
Daily Prayer for Returning to God’s Word
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank You for Your Word, which is a light to our path and a source of life. We ask for forgiveness for the times we have neglected Your Word in our lives and in our nation. Help us to return to Your truth and let it guide us in every decision we make.
We pray that as a nation, we would recommit to the principles of Scripture, seeking Your wisdom, justice, and mercy in all things. Lead us in this journey of repentance, and may Your Word bring healing to our hearts and to America.
In Jesus' holy name, we pray. Amen.
Pastor Paul Begley's Prayer and Call for National Revival
As we continue our "40 Days to Save America" campaign, Pastor Paul Begley, my co-author of Revelation 911, offers a heartfelt call for prayer, fasting, and repentance, urging believers across the nation to unite in seeking God’s mercy. In these crucial days leading up to the presidential election, Pastor Begley emphasizes the need for spiritual renewal and divine intervention.
In this powerful video, Pastor Begley discusses the state of the world, the growing chaos, and the urgency of prayer during this critical time. As we join together in prayer, fasting, and repentance, let us seek God's guidance for our nation and for revival.

Pastor Paul Begley’s Prayer:
Father, in the name of Jesus, once again we agree in prayer today with our brothers and sisters in Christ, along with my co-author, Troy Anderson, and many people—thousands of people—all over America and around the world. We pray, God, that we will bring a repentant spirit, that we will repent of our sins, our disobedience, and our disrespect for You, for Your Word, and for Your people.
God, help us to see the light, to fall on our face before You, and to call out the name of Jesus. Lord, we ask that You turn our nation back to You. We pray that the abominations, the sins, and the transgressions that are going on every day will be stopped.
Lord, we pray for peace in Jerusalem, peace in the Middle East, and peace in Europe. We pray, God, that these endless wars will stop, and that people will find, in their hearts, the true spirit of humanity. Lord, Satan is the god of this world, and he's trying to destroy, divide, and create hatred, wrath, and bitterness. We pray that we not fall into that gall of bitterness.
God, You said, 'If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, I will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.' Lord, we are repenting, and we are praying in the power and the spirit of agreement.
We thank You, Lord, for Your love, for the precious atonement, and for the redemption that You gave us through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Help those who don't know You to give their life to You, Lord, in a world that has gone mad.
We thank You, and we believe it in Jesus' name. Amen and Amen.

Daily President’s Prayer: Proclamation 5018—Year of the Bible, 1983 by President Ronald Reagan: 40th President of the United States: 1981 ‐ 1989
By the President of the United States of America: A Proclamation.
Of the many influences that have shaped the United States of America into a distinctive Nation and people, none may be said to be more fundamental and enduring than the Bible.
Deep religious beliefs stemming from the Old and New Testaments of the Bible inspired many of the early settlers of our country, providing them with the strength, character, convictions, and faith necessary to withstand great hardship and danger in this new and rugged land. These shared beliefs helped forge a sense of common purpose among the widely dispersed colonies—a sense of community which laid the foundation for the spirit of nationhood that was to develop in later decades.
The Bible and its teachings helped form the basis for the Founding Fathers' abiding belief in the inalienable rights of the individual, rights which they found implicit in the Bible's teachings of the inherent worth and dignity of each individual. This same sense of man patterned the convictions of those who framed the English system of law inherited by our own Nation, as well as the ideals set forth in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.
For centuries, the Bible's emphasis on compassion and love for our neighbor has inspired institutional and governmental expressions of benevolent outreach such as private charity, the establishment of schools and hospitals, and the abolition of slavery.
Many of our greatest national leaders—among them Presidents Washington, Jackson, Lincoln, and Wilson—have recognized the influence of the Bible on our country's development. The plainspoken Andrew Jackson referred to the Bible as no less than "the rock on which our Republic rests." Today, our beloved America and, indeed, the world, is facing a decade of enormous challenge. As a people, we may well be tested as we have seldom, if ever, been tested before. We will need resources of spirit even more than resources of technology, education, and armaments. There could be no more fitting moment than now to reflect with gratitude, humility, and urgency upon the wisdom revealed to us in the writing that Abraham Lincoln called "the best gift God has ever given to man ... But for it we could not know right from wrong."
The Congress of the United States, in recognition of the unique contribution of the Bible in shaping the history and character of this Nation, and so many of its citizens, has by Senate Joint Resolution 165 authorized and requested the President to designate the year 1983 as the "Year of the Bible."
Now, Therefore, I, Ronald Reagan, President of the United States of America, in recognition of the contributions and influence of the Bible on our Republic and our people, do hereby proclaim 1983 the Year of the Bible in the United States. I encourage all citizens, each in his or her own way, to reexamine and rediscover its priceless and timeless message.
In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand this third day of February, in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and eighty-three, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and seventh.
RONALD REAGAN
Today’s prayer is from President Ronald Reagan, who recognized the Bible's guiding influence on America’s moral and spiritual foundation. In 1983, he declared the year as the “Year of the Bible,” saying:
"Inside the Bible’s pages lie all the answers to all of the problems man has ever known. It is my firm belief that the enduring values presented in its pages have great meaning for each of us and for our nation. The Bible can touch our hearts, order our minds, and refresh our souls." — President Ronald Reagan
As we reflect on Reagan’s words, let us recommit to turning back to God’s Word, which provides the answers to the challenges our nation faces today. Link to the Proclamation
Here’s an excerpt from Dr. Larry Keefauver’s Prayers of the Presidents.
To preserve our blessed land we must look to God...It is time to realize that we need God more than He needs us... We also have His promise that we could take to heart with regard to our country, that ‘If my people, which are called by my name shall humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn form their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” Let us, young and old, join together, as did the First Continental Congress, in the first step, humble heartfelt prayer. Let us do so for the love of God and His great goodness, in search of His guidance, and the grace of repentance, in seeking His blessings, His peace, and the resting of His kind and holy hands on ourselves, our nation, our friends in the defense of freedom, and all mankind, now and always. The time has come to turn to God and reassert our trust in Him for the healing of America. . . . Our country is in need of and ready for a spiritual renewal. Today, we utter no prayer more fervently than the ancient prayer for peace on Earth. (By President Ronald Reagan)
