As I watched the red carpet unfurl beneath Air Force One and Arabian stallions flank the motorcade in Riyadh, I knew we were witnessing history.
President Donald J. Trump—once again reshaping the global order—not through war, but through sheer will, strategy, and what he famously calls “The Art of the Deal.”
Over the course of a whirlwind multi-nation trip through the Middle East, President Trump secured more than $600 billion in economic commitments, $142 billion in arms deals, and laid the groundwork for a potential $1 trillion in future investments from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar.
But the scope of this journey went far beyond numbers—it heralded what many are calling “The New Middle East.”
A Golden Age Built on Commerce, Not Chaos
In a powerful speech delivered to a sea of business leaders, President Trump declared:
“The new generation of leaders is transcending the ancient conflicts of tired divisions of the past and forging a future where the Middle East is defined by commerce, not chaos—where it exports technology, not terrorism.”
These were not hollow words. With Elon Musk, Sam Altman, Larry Fink, and other tech titans in attendance, the message was clear: AI, infrastructure, energy, and peace are on the agenda, not war and division.
Saudi Arabia pledged to invest in American defense, infrastructure, and AI technologies. Even a custom-built mobile McDonald’s truck was rolled out in his honor—a symbolic nod to the fast-moving, populist appeal of a president who blends American tradition with visionary diplomacy.

A Risky Bet on Syria?
One of the most dramatic—and controversial—developments of President Trump’s Middle East trip was his face-to-face meeting with Ahmed al-Sharah, the newly installed president of Syria and former leader of Jabhat al-Nusra, an al-Qaeda affiliate.
Yes, you read that correctly: the President of the United States just sat down with a man who, until recently, carried a $10 million U.S. bounty on his head.
Trump described him as:
“Young, attractive guy. Tough guy. Strong past—a fighter. He’s got a real shot of holding it all together.”
Al-Sharah has attempted to reinvent himself—exchanging his jihadist image for a Western suit and voicing interest in joining the Abraham Accords. He speaks of peace, economic reform, and building diplomatic ties with Israel and the Gulf States.
But the question remains: Is this genuine reform—or strategic deception?
Despite his rhetoric, reports of continued persecution of Christians, Druze, and Kurds persist under his fledgling regime. Many observers remain cautious—and rightly so.

History teaches us that radical ideologies often re-emerge in new disguises. Yet, this diplomatic move could also signal a bold attempt to flip Syria—long held in Iran’s grip—into a pro-Western alliance. Such a realignment would reinforce Israel’s security and build a broader coalition against Tehran’s regional ambitions.
It’s a high-stakes maneuver. If successful, it could mark a pivotal shift in the prophetic alignment of nations. If not, it may unleash fresh instability at Israel’s northern border.
As watchmen on the wall, we must remain prayerful and discerning. What appears to be a peace offering could yet prove to be a Trojan horse. And yet, we are reminded that even the most hardened hearts are not beyond God’s reach.

Qatar hosts the largest U.S. military base in the Middle East, and has served as a key mediator in negotiations between Israel and Hamas—earning it both scrutiny and strategic value.
Seen through one lens, the jet is a diplomatic olive branch—a signal of goodwill and growing alignment. Through another, it’s a calculated power move—a long-term investment in securing leverage with a future U.S. administration.
Either way, the stakes are high.
Even well-meaning gestures on this scale must be handled with transparency, discernment, and strong ethical boundaries. Anything less could fuel public skepticism and reinforce fears that foreign influence is quietly shaping American policy.

Can economic engagement inspire change in problematic partners—or does it risk enabling their darkest ambitions?

Only time—and transparency—will tell.
What This Means for Israel
President Trump described his Middle East visit as “very good for Israel.” And indeed, the implications are profound.
His bold push to bring Saudi Arabia into the Abraham Accords could expand the alliance in ways once thought unimaginable—possibly even including Syria. What was considered a diplomatic fantasy only months ago is now a tangible possibility.
Trump also reaffirmed his uncompromising stance on Iran, declaring:
“They will never get a nuclear weapon on my watch.”
His talk of dismantling Iran’s nuclear infrastructure—“blow it up nicely or not nicely”—signals a clear red line that Tehran cannot afford to ignore.
If this momentum holds, it could reshape the Middle East into a prophetic coalition—a bloc aligned not only economically and strategically, but spiritually significant in light of biblical prophecy.
Such a realignment could pave the way for historic peace, unprecedented alliances, and a dramatic shift in the global balance of power—placing Israel, once again, at the center of end-time events foretold in Scripture.
